Black Copper Marans Eggs Best Images Photography
The Black Copper Marans hen is back on the clock and I'm getting her daily chocolate egg again. The green and blue egg layers have taken a vacation though. Look how dark that brown egg is...the two new Blue Copper Marans hens are promised to have even darker brown eggs. The darkest possible. I can't wait for them to start laying.
The Surprise Eggs
It is cold here in northern California but the ladies are still steadily picking up their production.
Today these French Black Copper Marans eggs came from the coop and what a pleasant surprise! Every now and again the rich chocolate bloom that covers Marans eggs does not cover the egg all the way (like the one in the middle). Sometimes the bloom comes out in speckles or giant dinosaur egg spots like the two on the outside. These are my favorite eggs so far this year!
