Magpies are birds of the Corvidae (crow) family, including the black and white Eurasian magpie. In addition to other members of the family Pica, corvids considered magpies are in the genera Cissa.
Australian Magpie - Byron Bay
Magpies of the genus Pica by and large found in temperate regions of Europe, Asia, and western North America, with populations likewise exhibit in Tibet and high elevation areas of India, i.e. Ladakh (Kargil and Leh) and Pakistan. Magpies of the genus Cyanopica are found in East Asia and furthermore the Iberian peninsula.
Birds called magpies but not actually related may be found in Australia. It is the only nonmammal species able to recognize itself in a mirror test (though a recent study suggests that giant manta rays can also recognize their own reflections).

The Yellow-billed Blue Magpie or gold-billed Magpie (Urocissa flavirostris) is a passerine bird in the crow and jay family, Corvidae. It forms a superspecies with the Taiwan blue magpie and the red-billed blue magpie. The species ranges across the northern parts of the Indian Subcontinent including the lower Himalayas & and regarded as one of the intelligent birds.
Shot this one in outskirts of Kupwara, the frontier part of Indian administered Kashmir.

A female Magpie Lark (Grallina cyanoleuca) in the light. The magpie-lark, aka. the peewee, peewit or mudlark, is a passerine bird native to Australia & southern New Guinea. The male & female both have black and white plumage, though with different patterns. The female has a white bib, whereas the male has a black one.

The beautiful colors of this bird, along with the red beak and red legs are excellent.
The bird looks brilliant. One of my favorite birds, look at the stunning colors. Especially the green is very vibrant and comes in different shades.
